Back Pain

So, you are experiencing back pain?  This is a very common issue.  A lot of times people are saying, “Oh, I am just getting old.” or “Oh, I know I have some extra weight on me.” or “It’s my job.”  Oftentimes, people will take over the counter medications or they will go get a massage or they might stretch.  Although those things will give you relief, it doesn’t get to the core of the problem and usually the core of your back pain problems are due to spinal misalignments.

How can you tell?  Have somebody take a picture of you.  One hip might be higher than the other.  Your head might be forward if you take a side view. Your foot or feet might be flared (turned out).  Now, if that is occurring, you are misaligned and oftentimes what happens is that it can eventually illicit a pain response in the lower back area.  Now, you might be like, “Well, whatever. It’s not a big deal.”  Yes, it is!  It’s not just a back issue, it is a health issue.  Did you know that your brain sends messages all the way down your spinal cord and out the nerves not only to go to your back muscles but also to your legs, knees, feet as well as all the organs from the lower portion of your chest down?

Oftentimes, we don’t think of that, we just think it’s a pain.  No!  The nerve flow to those organs aren’t working correctly either.  You might have other things going on that you are not attributing coming from your back area or your spine.  That is why it is important to get a spinal check up to make sure that you’re aligned properly.  By having proper spinal alignment, it allows you to heal and strengthen yourself.  Have some core strengthening programs done as well. That is what we do for you at Alive & Well.
